Dear everyone,

I'm sure you know about the 'talk' command.

It's easy to use on a same network...

just :

talk [username]

But, when the other one is far away from us, how can we do to establish a communication between eachothers?

We tried with IP adress, everything else... : doesn't work. :-/

Any idea?

Thanks.

Hi!

The talk command (as far as I know) only works on the same machine, not between servers. To communicate with someone via the talk command, you would both have to be logged into the same server.

You could give the other person access to your server via SSH, and you should be able to use the talk command while they are logged in.

I hope this helps!
