I used nano for my text editor, since I have never been able to figger out VI or Emacs, (maybe one of these days crouse will start "texteditors.org" and I'll be one of the charter members ), but I couldn't make a new page to do the next part of each tutorial section. So now you can imagine the final greeting "hello world, i am on one line i am on two lines.......all the way to '"i am using single quotes to show my double quotes as a quoted statement"' (OK, you can stop laughing now ) There was next page and previous page, but not new page, any help would be appreciated. . Would it be better if I d/l'ed kate or kwrite? I can do that, I just hate the bloat of all the KDE stuff that comes with them .

I use nano and pico ALOT. They are both great for editing via the command line. I use Kate and Kwrite alot for when I'm in GUI mode using KDE. F11 in Kate and Kwrite give you the line numbers to the left. Great for those large bash scripts that show a line number error
