I'm not sure were to place this, but here goes.
I created a script that would take an input file, process it and write an output file. It's very simple and I will paste it below:

Code:
#!/bin/sh
echo Enter full input file name
read I
echo Enter full output file name
read O
ffmpeg -i "$I" -vn -f wav "$O"

It works from the current directory. But I wanted to be able to call it from a button on my upper panel. I created a link and dragged it to the panel. When I click on it I get this error:

hi,

you'll probably won't be able to give needed parameters to your script as there is no terminal open!

the command in the link should be something like this:
Code:
gnome-terminal -x /path/to/yourScript

Thanks for your reply! Now the launcher opens the terminal and runs the bash but doesn't put the output file anywhere. How could I construct the bash where it would take the input file from the current dir(the one I'm viewing in nautilus) and put the output file in the same dir?
Thanks,
Paul
