I need to run a bash script that adds numbers to variables ie

parmater1=parm1 parameter2=parm2 parameter3=parm(sequentialnumber) parameter4=parm(sequential number)

so every time the script is run it adds a higher number to parameter3 and 4 ie parm5 parm5 parm6 etc etc. I would also like to define a starting and finishing number and loop so it can create 100's of entries.

I think a more detailed explanation of what your trying to do might be in order. You really want to have hundreds of parameters added to a shell script ???
