i am wondering if this script could be easily modified to delete all songs under 20 seconds ? i was told mp3info could do that. apparently i have some way chopped off songs that are still passing with few errors : http://pastebin.com/t5Qhthy8

i hear its very poorly written too, so i rewrite would be just fine as well. this only works with mp3info. if there is anything better at finding bad guys that are .mp3 files then i'm open to trying new scripts.

i have one other addition to make -- nuke all songs that are 20 seconds are less. occasionally you get a song that small, but most of the time, it never happens, and i've got bunches of cut off songs with few seconds. i may adjust that 20 seconds to a higher number once i see them in banshee.

i want to thank any and all of you for your help. you may pastebinit (app name) the fixed or redone script for all to use.

here is my masterblaster script which should delete all marked bad entries in the log file http://pastebin.com/TrZp8jjR

thank you. bet this could help bunches of people out.

everyone and you, have a nice day. :)

I don't think anything beats Exiftool for command-line metadata power and versatility. Works in Linux, Windows**, Mac, etc (anything that can run Perl). Works for all kinds of image (very extensive output for digital camera images), video, audio, and other media files.

I was able to install it using the yum repositories but you can read and download it from the link below.

I would work on a script, but would rather finish cooking my wild rice vegetable soup.

As you can see from the output below, it gives you the duration if this is solely what you're basing your script on for deletion.
