Here is my delima,

I want to subscribe to a mailing list........ and then I want my emails turned into text files.
Stored in say...... /home/$USER/mailinglist/
What would be the easiest way to accomplish this ??

It appears that using a combination of

fetchmail

and

procmail

will be the easiest way to accomplish this...... still looking for suggestions/ideas/ ;)

I would use procmail for this:

MAILDIR=$HOME/mail
DEFAULT=$MAILDIR
LISTS=$MAILDIR/lists
...
## Sunmanagers
:0:
* ^List-Id.*sunmanagers.sunmanagers.org
$LISTS/sunmanagers.org


You can repeat this per list or you have to play with regexps, ala this:
