hi all,
I need a script to capture a command that a user types and notify me whether i should permit its execution or not when he types selected commands.
Its a bit like enforcing a policy....
thanks alll

To do this well enough that only an expert can get around is going to be very hard, I suspect that it cannot be done with simple scripts. Maybe you'd better off having them access an application to run the commands for them, eg a web interface. This would not accept generic commands, just enable them to run a specific list of commands.
If they need to be able to run generic commands I think you're stuffed unless there is a product out there somewhere that does what your after.

I've seen this done with custom compiled modules for bash. I'm not sure if you can really do this reliably with a simple script. Have fun!
