But this looks promising, the package "tzwatch" (in Debian synaptic):

list prepared from /usr/share/zoneinfo/zone.tab. The zone list is kept in a

I will try it. Also I attempted to download the source code with the package.
BTW...
I love the 'watch' program with 'figlet'. Would love to see the source for that too!
