Hi all ,

I search a way (a one liner ) to display a clock from a specified time zone . More precisly from china zone .

it s a little bit like this command that i found on commandlinefu ( ... r-terminal )
watch -t -n1 "date +%T|figlet"

displaying clock in ascii art on your terminal .
but need one for non local area time zone :)

Not sure,

But this looks promising, the package "tzwatch" (in Debian synaptic):
Displays time and date in specified time zones on console
This shell script displays the time and date of time zones specified by the
user. The time zones may be entered by hand in TZ format or chosen from a
list prepared from /usr/share/zoneinfo/ The zone list is kept in a
format consistent with the GTK+ application gworldclock.

I will try it. Also I attempted to download the source code with the package.

BTW... :) I love the 'watch' program with 'figlet'. Would love to see the source for that too!
