hi all, i need a script to help me prevent root logins
etc changing the console=parameter

What distro are you using ?

If your just wanting to prevent root login via ssh that's in /etc/shh/sshd_config

If you want to further restrict access look into
/etc/security/access.conf

You can also disable root logins by setting root's shell to exit. :)

Note that this is very easy to get around as commands can be run without entering a shell.
