Hi,

Need help, Sorry if this seems basic but well that is the level I am at, Hey we all need to start somewhere!
So please keep the flaming to a minimal;

I'm starting a script, and the first thing I want to do is clear the terminal,
should be simple but I get an o/p of clear screen and then : not found.
if i manually type in clear it works so i'm a bit lost!

any Ideas,

#! bin/bash

#Clear Screen
`clear`

Thanks for any input.

he he, no worries, we all started somewhere.

I remember when I was first trying to figure out how to "run" a program.... I felt kinda silly asking, but at the time I just couldn't find it... even though the answers were easily available, I just didn't know where to look. Feel free to ask questions anytime, that's sorta the whole reason for the forum ;)
