I am looking for a script that opens a list of urls in a text file in different browsers on a machine. Can someone help me with this script .

Thanks

I really don't get what you're trying to do here or the end result, but I am also a newbie and only helping to see if you are coming back and if you do post more details.

Code:
#!/bin/bash

firefox http://google.com

opera http://msn.com

So the above is a text file (script), I now assume you want to feed one URL per browser?

This seems to make no sense, so I'll stop right here.

Hi makhan, welcome to bashscripts.org!

I think I see what you're getting at, but I don't have anything handy with X installed to test it on. What have you tried so far?

Thanks!

Aha! got a virtual machine set up. I have some ideas, but I'd like to see what you've tried so far so we can work from a base that you're familiar with :)
