[HELP] awk custom field name

hi all,

i got a question on using awk, so, the awk uses field $1 $2 etc for its field name, but i want to rename those fields into ${data1} ${data2} etc. does anyone here know how to do that?

You simply can't.

The best approach to mimic what you want is done by using an array.
It's completely useless to do that, though.
